The House

Our History

A winegrower and ancestor of the family, Eugène was a man of the land. He didn't talk about terroir, he worked it.

Every season, every harvest, every decision was guided by a simple idea: respect the land so it gives the best of itself.

For five generations, our family has cultivated the vine. It was in the 1970s that winemaking began, giving birth to our first cuvées.

Today, Benoît carries the values of the house and remains above all a winegrower.

Being a man of the field is part of his convictions. He oversees every step and coordinates the house team. Each person brings their own vision and skills. It is from this complementarity that the most balanced projects are born.

Our Philosophy

A strong entrepreneurial spirit

In our family, we love to undertake, imagine and bring projects to life. We are driven by the thrill of challenge and the desire to surpass ourselves. Then comes the satisfaction of seeing a project through, measuring the path traveled and gaining new skills.

This is how our expertise has been shaped over time, carried by five generations of vine growers and three generations of winemakers.

Sustainable viticulture

Sustainable viticulture is our guiding principle. Certified High Environmental Value (HVE), our estate follows a coherent and thoughtful approach, where every action is carefully considered.

Our goal is simple: to care for our terroir today to preserve its richness and expression for tomorrow.

  • Grass cover or soil work between rows.
  • Careful observation of the vine to favour targeted and measured interventions.
  • Meticulous manual work.
  • Local suppliers, chosen for their proximity and expertise.
  • A diverse plant heritage, enriched by massal selections.

The Semoigne Valley, Our Terroir

Autumn vineyard Vineyard in winter mist Vineyard and village panorama

Spread across four villages, our vineyard stretches through the heart of a small valley perpendicular to the Marne Valley: the Semoigne Valley.

A tributary of the Marne, the Semoigne winds its way at the foot of the hillside and creates a unique microclimate, marked by morning freshness. The East and South-East exposures offer generously sunny afternoons, promoting regular vine growth and optimal grape ripening.

Vineyard soil map

To understand the personality of our Champagnes, one must also discover the richness and diversity of our soils. Deeply fragmented, our vineyard is spread across four major soil types: marls, calcareous sands, sandstone sands, and calcareous clays.

This true mosaic of soils gives rise to wines with multiple expressions. It shapes the singularity of our terroirs and constitutes the signature of our wines.

Our Style

Winemaking is guided by precision. It lets the micro-terroirs that make up our vineyard express themselves and thus creates the style of our house: Generosity, brilliance and accuracy.
